Award winning makers of the Tunnels & Trolls RPG, Nuclear War card game, Death Dice, and founders of the play by mail (PBM) industry. "Games for the Intensive Gamer" ™

In Memory of Richard (Rick) F. Loomis     1947-2019
Founder of the Flying Buffalo

Founder, Rick Loomis 1947-2019In the beginning: Rick Loomis was a wargamer as a teen and ended up in the army in 1969. His job was to send and translate top secret messages using one of these new things called a “computer.”

During his time in the Army, Rick came up with the idea of using a computer to run play-by-mail games. In 1970 he started Flying Buffalo Games which used a Raytheon ™  computer to run his games for paying customers. Rick was the first person to own a computer for the sole use of running games. The Ratheon had 16k of memory.

To promote his Play-by-Mail games (Starweb, Battle Plan and Nuclear Destruction) Rick started going to wargame conventions. These later evolved into the larger scale more mainstream conventions like GenCon and The Origins Game Fair, that we recognize today. Rick used to go to conventions all over the US just about every weekend, only slowing down in his mid 60s. Elven Lords Deluxe Color Edition

The long awaited Deluxe Color Edition

A Solitaire adventure for Tunnels & Trolls or Deluxe Tunnels & Trolls.
(This Book includes a Mini-Version of the T&T Rules allowing you to play this adventure without the T&T rulebook)

NOTE: This book has all color interior images either painted by Liz Danforth or digitally colored under the supervision of Liz Danforth. The layout of this book is different from the black and white version and includes some additional art that does not appear in the black and white version of Elven Lords. The text of the solo by Michael Stackpole is still the same.

Intro: Gull, the largest city on the isle of Phoron welcomes you once again. The Chamber of Commerce in its vain attempt to shed the terrible image created by the city’s nickname, City of Terrors, bids you ignore the painted barbarians lurking in the jungles surrounding the city. They ask you to forget about the annual pirate raids, and the criminal gangs running cutthroat theft and smuggling rings. You needn’t even worry about the horror to the north despoiling Elven tombs.

Gull is an nice town; honest. Truth is, if you wanted nice, you would have stayed at home.

And Gull and its environs are once again at their best in this collection of interlocking adventures, now expanded with new paths, characters and dangers by best-selling author Michael Stackpole.

This edition (more than double the size of the original 1990 version) also includes new art created especially for this adventure by award-winning illustrator Liz Danforth.

Plus the Tunnels & Trolls Mini-Rules, are in the back of this solo, so you can roll up new characters and play this solitaire adventure without having the Deluxe T&T Rulebook. (There are also 4 pre-rolled characters you can use)

Elven Lords is designed for one character of any type (humanoid or other) with approximately 60 combat adds. You can play either a fighter or a magic-user.
